A Better Tomorrow

Supporting Those in Recovery A Better Tomorrow

A Better Tomorrow is a peer-led organisation that offers supported accommodation and programmes to men and women in the Telford and Wrekin area who have been affected by drug and alcohol addiction; mental health and wellbeing; homelessness and domestic abuse.

A Better Tomorrow provide support to clients who are committed and motivated towards making life changing decisions and feel they are ready to move forward positively with their lives.

Their aim is to provide clients with the skills needed for everyday living, without the use of mind-altering substances. They provide practical on-going support within the community, introducing self-management skills and the ability to monitor self-behaviour.

Our goal is to empower and give people the support they need to change their lives positively

Established in August 2014 with just one house, A Better Tomorrow provided support with addiction and substance misuse recovery.  Their abstinence based residential recovery project soon built a very positive reputation, providing high level supported housing to adults in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.

The peer-led team at ABT always recognised the need for a more holistic approach to recovery and so from 2017 introduced dedicated housing and support services across mental health & wellbeing, homelessness and domestic abuse.

Based in the Telford area, A Better Tomorrow accept referrals from clients in the Town, and for abstinence housing this is extended to those outside the local area.

Armed Forces Covenant

Employer Recognition Scheme (Bronze Award) Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, including the bereaved, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives.

Triangle HR are proud and committed to supporting those individuals and their family members in our community who have or continue to serve in the Armed Forces

The two principles of the Armed Forces Covenant are that, recognising the unique obligations of, and sacrifices made by, the Armed Forces:

  • Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services.
  • Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.
