At Triangle HR, we are committed to helping our clients build the skills and capabilities of their managers, helping them to proactively and positively handle the challenges they may face in their role.
With an ever-increasing awareness and presence of mental health concerns affecting us in our personal lives and at work, this is an area in which managers can benefit from some practical tips, tools, and techniques; giving them the confidence to handle workplace issues sensitively, but effectively.
The HSE reports that on average in the year 2021 to 2022, stress, depression, or anxiety accounted for 18.6 working days lost per employee, making this the leading cause of workplace absence.
Feedback we often receive from our clients suggests that although the Mental Health First Aid qualifications are valuable, their managers and leaders are lacking the confidence, skills, and know-how to handle conversations around mental health and related absence. In turn, this makes the subject a ‘no-go’ area for many, which leaves their employees unsupported, and their business suffering from the resulting effects of long-term and repeated absence.
In view of this feedback, we, at Triangle HR have been working in collaboration with Pete White, a mental health trainer, to offer a half-day workshop, covering the key elements in preventing and managing mental health in the workplace. With personal experience of mental health issues following deployment in the military, Pete is able to talk from an informed and knowledgeable standpoint, offering some valuable pointers on how to approach conversations, as well as some important guidance on ‘what not to say or do’.
Held in Telford, from 10:00 am on 13th October 2023, this 4-hour Managing Wellbeing Workshop is available at a cost of just £60.00 per delegate, with discounted rates of £50.00 per delegate for Triangle HR customers and members of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.
